En el caso de las importaciones, establecida la conformidad de los productos consignados en la Resolución de Autorización de Importación y recibida el acta respectiva, la SUCAMEC expide la Resolución de internamiento, y la guía de tránsito y circulación para el traslado a los almacenes de la SUCAMEC, donde cada arma estará sujeta al pago por almacenamiento. En el caso de las exportaciones, eI transporte de armas, municiones, repuestos, accesorios para la exportación, se hará con la respectiva Autorización de Exportación y Guía de Tránsito, previa verificación física de la cargo en el lugar de origen, levantándose el acta respectiva. En el caso de comercio interno, una vez obtenida la Autorización de Comercialización, la SUCAMEC otorga automáticamente la correspondiente Guía de Circulación y/o Tránsito a nombre del comprador.

La Ley N° 30299 establece un sistema de control de comercio de armas restringido, mediante el cual todo tipo de comercio debe ser autorizado por la SUCAMEC. Asimismo, la SUCAMEC garantiza el almacenamiento de las armas producto de la importación y del comercio interno. Por otro lado, la Ley estipula otros mecanismos de prevención del desvío de armas, como el RENAGI, el marcaje y el rastreo de armas de fuego, los cuales serán desarrollados con mayor precisión en el Reglamento de la Ley, el cual está en curso.
